Fulfilling a need in the marine industry, Prolite Lighting of New Zealand has developed a 316 Stainless Steel totally sealed LED cockpit.

Prolite (www.prolitemarine.com) a New Zealand manufacturer is producing a nylon Courtesy Light specifically designed for the marine market. The units are small, efficient, totally sealed, with a polished 316 SS flange and are at an economic price. The 6 LED´s put out a surprising amount of light but use only .3 watts of 12v DC energy. The low wattage ensures optimum energy usage and absolute lack of heat generation.

While initially designed for marine use- alternative markets are RV´s, home gardens, home soffit lights and passageway nightlights. The Courtesy Light can be used inside or outside, even underwater. The possible uses include, cockpit light, radar arch light, step light, night or security light, path light, stair light and under cupboard light. The light output options are warm white or blue.

The outside diameter of the flange is 1.5¨. The nylon 6.6 core is only 1¨ diameter and the fixing is by integral moulded clips or by locknut for panel mount situation. The units are just 1¨ deep. The product is made to the highest standards and warranted for 1 year.
